Our goal is to be accurate, fair and transparent about how we work.

Accuracy and sourcing

• We verify facts before publishing and attribute claims to named sources wherever possible.
• We clearly mark claims we have not been able to verify, and we distinguish reports from confirmed events.
• We prefer primary sources: official statements, documents, data and on-the-record interviews.

News, analysis and opinion

News reports describe what happened. Analysis explains why it matters, based on evidence. Opinion pieces argue a point of view and are labelled as such.

Independence

We do not accept payment for favourable coverage. Advertisers and sponsors have no say over our editorial content. Sponsored or partner content is labelled “Sponsored”.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a note at the end of the article explaining what changed and when. Minor typos are fixed without a note. To request a correction, email thesquadron.in@gmail.com with the article link.

Use of AI tools

We may use software tools to help with research, transcription or proofreading. Our editors are responsible for everything we publish and review it before it goes live.

Code of Ethics

As a digital news publisher in India, we follow the Code of Ethics in the Appendix to the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including the Norms of Journalistic Conduct of the Press Council of India.
